    Works like a charm. It took less than 30 minutes to replace the existing power cable and install the new cable. The final step was to enable the parking mode in the app.
    Thanks Thinkware for making the new cable available and making my dash cam the option to have parking mode.

    The cable is a perfect solution for those who don’t want to do a hardwire by themselves. My only issue with the order was the $16 (almost half the price of the product) that I paid for express shipping that was anything but “express” and the lack of (none) communication when I emailed THINKWARE about it. The product could’ve arrived quicker on a Greyhound bus.

    I haven’t started the attach. I purchased a Christmas gift U1000 front & rear. Here Jeep 2020 Cherokee front is easy, back wire hard to figure out. I did my Ram 1500 in 2020 and front and back F800 i started and finished in les than 2 hours. Give me an idea how to fasten the wire from rear window to front. I want the wiring hidden so how do you advise?

    Super easy to install. I definitely recommend purchasing this with your camera setup right away. Woukd have saved me a $300 deductible. On the flip side, having parking mode caught a neighbor hitting my mirror. So, money well spent.

    I wanted to use obd power for my dash cam since the fuse box in my 2020 Chrysler Pacifica is under the hood and did not want to hardwire it. First I tried iRoad obd cable but that wasn’t work as expected in my car. This one works as expected. The reason why I gave 4 stars is because It would be great if there were a switch where you can turn off the obd cable since I don’t need parking mode all the time and it is just too much time to turn it off and on in the cam settings and also if you do turning it on and off in the cam, it deletes the previous parking modes. Right now when I park down in my garage and don’t need parking mode, I just unplug the power cable from the cam.

    It doesn’t plug in well to the camera. It doesn’t go all the way in and when I hit a pot hole or a bump the camera makes a noise.

    This works perfectly, however you should get the next one up. This covers your OBDII and you have to unplug it for access. The next model lets you still use you OBDII without any problems.

    Everything was nice until everytime you start the vehicle you hear the lil voice saying connect etc etc.. I believe this should be turned off especially if you are worried about you car being stolen.

    With this cable, you don’t need to do the hard wiring for the cam setup. However, you will have to eject the cable when you need to do other diagnostics for the car or if you want to install some harness. This cable supports parking surveillance

    Beware. 2 weeks after installing this my car battery died while driving on highway. Barely made it to shoulder as no power steering. Had to get tow truck.

    2 Month later (yesterday) blew the fuse to my obd connector. Car stopped in middle of street and needed tow truck.

    Beware of this connector.

    Perfect compromise for providing parking mode without providing the powered connection when parking mode is not needed. I stow the cable until I need to monitor the vehicle while parked. Prevents battery drain because I can used a switched power supply for normal driving use of the dash cam.

    Although the listing states: NOTE1: Compatible with Electric / Hybrid / Stop-and-Start Enabled / Gasoline fueled vehicles, it is not. After trying two different cables and not getting the ACC voltage support tells me that newer cars have issues with the cable. It absolutely will not work with the Hyundai Tuscon PHEV. The connector can be cut off and then used as a hardwire cable.

    Don’t work as stated. Will not work on auto start stop vehicles and had to pay a return fee even though it’s advertised as working with auto start stop vehicles. I purchased 3 camera set up’s and was told I should have read the page better however the site still says it is compatible but when you open the box the sticker on the bag says it’s not, and then you have to pay a return fee cause you opened the box to see the sticker that says opposite of what the site says
