Ive used so many different brands of dash cams since 2012, ive settled with Thinkware because it works better than advertised, it lasts 4+ years, no over heating issues, no glitches, easy to set up, plug and play
most importantly it saves all the files with no error issues.
If you are looking for a solid dash cam for your car, this product is the way to go. Very affordable for the quality. Ive ordered 3 for my family, ill be purchasing their 4k dash cam for myself. Very excited for that upcoming device.

Great Dash Cam for Everyday Use
This dash cam has been a solid addition to my car. The video quality is clear and reliable, both during the day and at night. It captures everything you need with its wide-angle lens and handles low-light conditions really well.
Setup was quick and easy, and it doesn’t get in the way while driving. The loop recording feature is great, so I never have to worry about managing storage, and the G-sensor ensures important moments are saved.
Overall, it’s a dependable dash cam that’s simple to use and perfect for everyday driving. Highly recommend!

Great product
This dash cam just launched this year(2024) so it has the newest technology. I am satisfied with the performance and quality.
Easy to install
I found the user manual in the support section of the Thinkware Link app, followed it and installed in a short amount of time.
Easy to connect to the app.
Clicked the WiFi icon on the screen, scanned the QR code shown with the Thinkware Link app, connected!
Smart driving alerts (recommended
Front vehicle departure warning and Traffic signal alert features are really convenient. The response time of both features are fast and alerts you right away. It notifies you when the signal changes and when the vehicle in front of you starts to drive off. I tend to get distracted easily when driving. The drivers behind can thank Thinkware for offering these features in their dash cams.
Comes with a memory card.
It is kind of nice that Thinkware included a memory card, most of the other brands don’t come with one. 32GB of memory isn’t a lot but at least I didn’t have to hassle in buying one separately.
I will update this review in a few months after I get in some use.

Thinkware ARC Dash Cam – well-designed and compact dashcam
This well-designed and compact dashcam features an interactive touch screen with no lag. It includes a free SD card and excels at recording in 2K. Downloading footage using the mobile app is straightforward. I highly recommend this dashcam to anyone in need of reliable and high-quality recording on the road.

Much improved from previous models/app
I have an older Thinkware dash cam and decided to give them another try. The camera was always solid, but the app was a joke. Not a huge deal because I just took the card out and manually grabbed files when I wanted them. This version with their new app is much better, but still not an amazing app. Everything works as expected, video access is simple, and the video quality is still good. Just isn’t very intuitive what they set in the options.
It has an included rear camera as well which I didn’t have before, perfect to run to the back of a crew cab truck rear window. I’d get this model again just for the video quality and video that records every time without thinking about it. Never had to use it for anything major yet, but I’ve looked at a few crazy drivers on playback, got everything I wanted to see.

needs better method to connect
Only been using for about 1 month. I have owned a different camera from this maker. Enjoy the utility of both styles.
The negative part of this Arc style is connecting my phone to it. The wifi system is rather clunky to get things to connect. The only method I’ve found is using the QR code which can be frustrating to get your cell camera to focus on the tiny sized QR code on the mini screen.
The older style camera I had, would allow you to search for a wifi broadcasted ID, which doesn’t seem to exist for the Arc camera.

Proprietary memory cards
32gb card holds 3 to 4 days of data, bought thinkware 128gb card, found out through extensive trouble reports that these 128gb cards are incompatible with the ARC, works but will give out random errors unsupported memory card. So 32gb back in till they send me a compatible memory card replacement since not in stock.. 128gb here and at thinkware site are not compatible…for now apparently

Real Test Upcoming
Seems to work in everyday traffic, but the real test is next week when I commute through the mountains to the school I teach at. I bought it as a second set of eyes to help me spot elk in the highway, which – thanks to daylight savings time – is now dark again. That will be the real test of this product: my life kind of depends on how well I and this dashcam can avoid disaster.

It’s clunky at first
I had an auto store install it for me. It’s a little clunky at first to use it. Make sure you download the app. The app is not user-friendly. And you have to disc from the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth on your car in order to get onto the camera.
But after a little bit of learning curve, it turns out it’s pretty good. The image and quality of the pictures is relatively impressive.

An instruction manual would be nice!
No instruction manual at all! I’ve used Thinkware dashcams before, so I had an idea on how to set the unit up. AND IT STILL WAS A PAIN IN THE ARSE! Download a new app, Set up the WIFI, Update the software, Try and scan a blurry non working code, Figure a workaround for that, Download files for the red light photo and speed zones, Set the parameters for camera and driving features without knowing what they are……. Not Easy! YouTube videos helped somewhat…
A simple instruction manual would have alleviated all this headache.
Sound quality could be improved as well. But other than that, it’s a real nice working unit.

Very useful!
After receiving this product, I had a quick setup in my car and I was ready to go. The image quality of this camera is great during the day and while a little blurry at night, still very good. The female voice is still very loud, even at the lowest settings which can be jarring at times but once you get used to it, it’s just another tool to use. What’s cool about this camera is that it tells you about red lights and the back camera image is just as good as the front camera. The only other complaint I have is that the wifi connection can be kind of unstable at times but other than that this is a great product to have!

Great camera super simple to install.
This camera has great picture quality and the added features that it has with GPS are great. This was super simple to install it took me longer to unpack it than to install it, you just need basic install skills and most important the ability to figure out how to do something and a little common sense to go along. Ford sells Thinkware as an accessory, but they charge twice the price for it, but I can see why they pick Thinkware it is a great camera. Well worth the money. I will not go into every little detail because I am not trying to sell it but to just say what I think about it for my use! From what I see I am the only person reviewing this that actually put money out for it everyone else got it for free so this is a review from an actual buyer!
It has now been over five months that I have had this camera installed and it is still working very well and the video that I have gotten has been good from both the front and rear cameras, I have had no problems with it at all and it is still working just as it did the first time, I turned it on. I do not see how people have so much trouble with it because it is so simple and so is the app that it has. Also, the video from both cameras is in the correct orientation and not upside down. This will be my last update because I cannot see writing any more since the camera works so well. As I said before it is money well spent and am glad I have it.

easy to set up and great quality
The cheap dash cam I had stopped working after few months of use. I spent a great deal of time looking at dash cams available on the market. I went with the ARC as it was on sale, within my price range and had features that caught my eye.
The dash cam installation and operation were straightforward, got everything up and running under an hour. The installation guide via the QR code on the little insert found in the box was easy to follow.
I decided on this model because of the Traffic Signal Alert and Front Vehicle Departure Warning feature. They’ve been very helpful for my driving. The picture quality is very good. It has a large display screen which makes it easy to review your footage. Overall, I’m impressed.

Excellent quality, worth the price.
I’m just getting into dash cams, and with the way the world is going, I think they are a mush. I’ve seen a couple other cams and this one is massively better. Nice alloy body, great instructions, lots of wire and well thought out. Some may say it is way too expensive just to sit in a car to record your driving. But if it saves your day with your insurance company, it may end up well worth it. Only complaint I have, it should include a 64G or 128G SD card. At this price, they went cheap on the storage. Other than that, they have a great cam here. Oh, and this is the only one I tested that you can download the footage to your phone without removing the SD card. Great addition.

Simple to install and operate
I do a lot of aftermarket vehicle accessory installation so this was an easy install for me. Everything was straightforward and I had no issues with the app or configuring the dashcam for my application. This dash cam has some extra features like traffic signal alert and front vehicle departure warning. Handy for those drivers that don’t pay attention while driving? I don’t have it enabled so I don’t know. Camera quality is excellent as is the night mode. No complaints with it so far.

Great camera for your safety
This camera, it’s absolutely amazing. I was hesitant at first because i have never own a thinkware camera and the specs it claims to have sounds to good to be true but I was wrong and im happy I went with it because the quality of the videos are cristal clear and you can make out details and license plates. One of the best part of this camera is the parking mode you can set it up to your preference as long as you hardwire it correctly or you buy the OBD connection a $40 dollar item that i would say is the best way to go For example, if you live in a rural area, you can set it to record any movement around your vehicle if someone walkes by it will record them even at night if someone drives down your road way too fast It will record them too the quality of videos dose drop a bit at night but not by much another downfall is there is no way to add side views to the camera some thinkwares flagship camera have that option but you will pay way more In all i would recommend this camera as a entry level camera it gives you more than you expect and I would be more inclined to buy one of their top tier cameras down the road now that I have tested this camera

Awesome Dash Cam
I recently had the THINKWARE ARC dash cam professionally installed and I’m really pleased with it. The video quality is superb: both front and rear 2K/1440p resolution captures sharp detail, even in lower light, thanks to Super Night Vision.
The parking surveillance mode is a big win. It picks up motion and impacts while the car is parked, and the energy-saving features give peace of mind rather than worrying about battery drain. Also, the hardwiring kit and free 32 GB card are thoughtful touches.
On the user side, the touchscreen is convenient for on-the-spot playback and settings adjustments. The driver safety alerts (traffic light change, speed/red light camera warnings) are useful features.
Overall, this is a solid buy for anyone wanting reliable front & rear recording + 24/7 parking protection. Highly recommend.

Good Product
Needed a dashcam after many near misses in the city. This dashcam is small and doesn’t take up much space on the windshield. The wires are easy to hide in the car as well.
The camera quality is high and the touchscreen is nice to use. The video quality is great during the night too. The app is simple to use and pretty straightforward.

Sleek Design and smooth performance
At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Thinkware Arc, as it’s a newer model, but installation was surprisingly simple, thanks to the included accessories. The slim design looks clean on the windshield and doesn’t draw attention. The app is straightforward, making it easy to check footage, and the video quality, especially at night, has really impressed me. The lane departure and safety alerts are a nice touch, adding an extra layer of peace of mind during longer drives.

Nice Video Quality. Alot of Useful Alerts!
One of best priced, feature packed dashcams on the market that has “2K” recording. Installation in the wifes Durango was good up until I had to install and adjust the rear cam. For some reason this dashcam from Thinkware does not have “Live View” in the app, so very difficult to set up by myself. I needed someone to watch the cam at the front of the vehicle while I was in the rear.
Alot of features packed in the dashcam like Red Light & Speed Trap Warnings with the GPS that’s regularly updated as far as I can tell. Also has Go on Green & Vehicle Advance Notifications… Useful if you’re slightly distracted or day dreaming. There are other Traffic related features too but I don’t use them.
Video Recording Quality is very good. Not “2K” good but alittle bit below that maybe.

Great dash cam
It’s a great dash cam, one of the best I have owned, great quality and cool features My only problem is that for the price, I wish it would automatically save videos to the app. As it is now, every time I want to view a clip, I have to connect directly to the dash cam, which feels a bit outdated and inconvenient.

Good backup and dash cam!
One of our cars doesn’t have a factory installed backup camera, and it is quite a convenience to be missing. I got this primarily for the backup camera function, and was pleased the dash cam works well also. Installation was fairly straightforward. The included cables are long enough and an interior trim pry tool is included to make it easy to place the cables under the trim panels.
The only aspect of installation that was a bit tricky was connecting the constant power line to the fuse box. The instructions say to connect the wires to a fuse leg, though that seems a bit impractical with the blade fuses that most cars have. I found the necessary wires that power the stereo, and was able to tap in there without affecting the operation of the stereo. If you aren’t comfortable with wiring work in your car, there is a 12V power socket adapter included.
The built-in features are much more than I was anticipating, and I’m still getting used to all of them. Great safety features, great versatility. While the price seems a little high, it seems to be worth it so far.

Decent
On examining this dashcam unit, the build quality seems good, seems solid. Getting the camera mounted in the front is the easy part, the back involves running the wires inside trim which is a pain. Only has a 32 GB card in there, which isnt really enough storage at this resolution, should have been 128GB at least. The 1440p resolution on both is good enough to see licenses plates. On the software side, it is a little buggy but I managed to get it working fine. If they can iron out the software part of it, it will be the perfect unit.

The Thinkware dual camera (rear and dash) cam system is a superb addition to my old Chrysler. These days, I can’t be too careful in traffic or even just leaving my car sitting in a lot somewhere, and these two cameras bring ease of mind. The images are reasonable, installation simple enough (though quite tedious, you will need an upholstery tool to hide the wiring), the night vision adequate. The installation did lack a bit in that no paper instructions were included (little tip: A car that is shutdown to allow for wiring a camera is truly annoying to have to go fetch an iPad). The password protection for the camera and its stored imagery is a nice add, as is the touchscreen. I did not have the trouble other reviews mention with disconnects over WiFi (though will state Bluetooth would be “better” for convenience.
Having said nice things, now we come to price. Ouch. $280 is a bit much. That said I see a nice $60 discount today, so that makes the deal reasonable and gives the star I had taken away for pricing back. All in all this is a reasonable camera with reasonably priced features.
