My husband drives all over for work as he does construction.. and this camera is great.. it is super simple to install. .and set up.. the picture quality is great.. and bc it attaches to the back of the mirror it stays out of the way.. and doesnt impair your view while driving..

It seems like traffic and thefts keep getting worse every year. Especially living near a big city. On my daily commute, I see at least one accident every day. One day, my oldest son called me and told me about his car being broken into. One of the things that his insurance company asked is did he have a dashcam and if he didn’t that they highly recommend getting one. So after hearing this, I decided to get one for myself just to give me peace of mind just in case of emergencies.

I did a little research and found out that this is a pretty decent dash cam. It has several bells and whistles. It seems to be well built. I really like it because it’s small and discrete and that you can barely see it unlike some that I’ve seen that have screens. I figured getting one like this without a screen would attract less attention.

It comes with everything that you need. I was really surprised to see how long the charging cord was. It was very easy to mount and set up. The app was amazingly simple to navigate. Another reason why I chose this one is that it already came with an SD card. I don’t usually see a lot of products that come with SD cards.

One of the features that I like is the 24-hour parking monitor. It’s cool being able to just look on my phone and check the camera footage. One thing I would say is that if you plan on getting this or any dash cam, you might want to invest into some type of portable battery charger so that it won’t run down your car battery overnight. I plan on getting one on payday.

Overall, I am highly satisfied with it. If you live in a big city, I would highly recommend getting this.

I think the Thinkware Q1000 Front + Rear Dash Cam is awesome. I am more aware of what’s going on while riding with this technology hooked up in my car. In my community there are a lot of hit and run accidents and I’ve been a victim so now I can capture any accidents and/or license plates that I can help with insurance claims or culprits on the road. I also have teen boy who has started driving so these cameras help me watch whats going on and how he’s driving my car for safety reasons. I now can record my family’s journey on road trips during the spring and summer for great memories of the fantastic views while we travel. Plus I can save time with the built-in GPS system and not get lost in other cities. I really love the quality of video that is captured. I also love the features on the camera that tell us that there’s a traffic enforcement camera ahead which is a big deal where I live. This bundle has many great features and was very easy to install and didn’t take much time to do. We set the app up on the cell phone and it’s all working good. I definitely and highly recommend this dash cam bundle.

Paired this with a 2005 Forester XS and found it to be a great pairing. TL;DR: The Q1000 is another excellent offering from ThinkWare in their dash cams and the ability to have the rear window catch rear collisions/accidents makes this an excellent bit of kit.

I don’t have the parking feature enabled on my camera as I haven’t wired it for it, only powers up via accessory and usually parks where there are security cameras at work and at home. Although, having test it – may save your bacon if you are parking on city streets as they aren’t always monitored as well as other drivers may not be excellent parkers.

This device doesn’t have a traditional screen like most dashcams on the market, which is a good thing in my opinion. Having tested other cameras, there is nothing more inconvenient than either removing the camera (taking it out of adjustment) to go through menus or trying to use the screen when it’s behind your mirror. The app works fine via Android and has been able to download/view videos without any fuss.

ADAS on this system is fine, I just disabled it since I don’t really appreciate the noise of me coming out of the lane or the few false positives it may throw out on the battered city streets. This still may be useful to add that kind of technology in an older car, but be warned it won’t be nearly as reliable as a newer vehicle so I wouldn’t recommend relying on it.

Overall, the kit is awesome for a majority of cars and most of what you will need will be included.

The quality of the video is great on this model. With the CPL filter, you can clearly see everything during the daytime. Hardwire connection is easy enough, but they do have OBD connectors as well as tapping into auto dimming mirrors.
This is my third Thinkware Dash cam and I plan to continue to use them as long as quality holds up.

I purchased two of these for my vehicles and have had one installed already. The will be installed next week. The video quality (2K) is excellent front and rear. I purchased thee after doing several days of research online for an overall excellent F/R dashcam. Fortunately I have not had to review the video for any incidents yet but I have been reviewing the video regularly in different climate and light conditions. Again so far I am very pleased with the video quality. The only ever so slightly annoying thing is the sensitive setting for incident recognition. No matter how low I set it The Q1000 still beeps (indicating an incident detected) at every little imperfection on the roadway. This does not effect in anyway the operation of the dashcam. It just marks the video file differently for easier selection. Unfortunately since it triggers at every little bump or crack in the road you may have several such marked files especially if you did actually have an incident you needed to review. I have not the first one installed long so the only remaining conditions to verify will be durability and longevity.

I’ve used a few aftermarket dash cams over the years, and this one ranks a little better than average. Set up is simple, and installation is also easy, depending on how you install it as well as your skill level. I had in installed in less than a minute or so. The installation kit comes with everything needed.

The unit does a nice welcome when you start your vehicle. If you can turn it off, I have yet to find out how. I would if I could.

The recordings themselves are only saved if “something” happens. IN my case, hitting a little pot hole will cause it to save the recording. When it does, it saves a few seconds before and after an “event” happens.

There is no easy control to manually tell it to record. If there is a button, it is hard to reach. So when I know i want to save something it just recorded, and smack my dashboard, which the dash cam interpretes as an incident or event, and saves that recording. It beeps when it detects such an event, giving you an audible cue that it just saved that recording.

Night vision makes this better than average. It’s good.

The 2K QHD spec is really false advertising. It’s not even HD quality. Sure, the file size is large, but that does not mean clarity of video in true “2K” quality. It is decent, yes, but not great quality. The camera has a hard time “seeing” license plate numbers twenty feet in front of the lens. Blurry. There is also no stabilization so things can look a little jarring when watching back the video on some roads.

All that said, I do like this system. It works as designed, if a little fudging of it’s specs.

We really liked this dashcammuch better than our old one.the video is very high quality and it’s cover both front and rear view.the best part is we can transfer data using its app and Bluetooth.works great at night as well.

Really love this camera set. You always have proof of whatever happens. Driving or parked. The video quality is crisp and sharp. HD ! I’m highly impressed with quality of videos it captures.This Thinkware recordings are very clear day and night. I am planning to use it for driving Vlogs. It comes with all the required accessories that is needed to mount the camera. Easy to mount and can view live view from my smart phone while in action so if there is any adjustment needed I can make it. And of course there are so many other features that comes in this model like motion detection parking mode etc. I would certainly recommend worth having it your car.

This dash cam is one of the best dash cams I have ever had the privilege of owning.. the camera is made from premium materials so it’s not a flimsy light plastic camera… the quality of the camera is amazing it doesn’t really get much better than this and to be able to capture everything in the inside as well it’s a 10/10.

This was a lifesaver in my car! I have an older vehicle that I use as my daily driver that does not have a camera built in. This one is brilliant and has a front and rear camera that is Bluetooth wifi enabled and has sensors that are a must have for anyone who makes long commutes like me or a new driver. It gives me peace of mind that I will be covered in the case of an accident with the back up storage of the recordings. I love it!

I received this and it’s absolutely wonderful! It has a easy set up ! Clear instructions and comes with everything you need to start working! I definitely recommend this product and placement in your vehicle is easy!

I recently got this for an added security measure for my insurance and this was very easy to install and connect. It also has a great high quality video. It’s little bulky from a line of sight point of view but for what it is built for it is acceptable. Overall I will recommend this product.

I think with how unpredictable driving is these days it really gives a sense of security to have a dash cam while driving around even if it’s just around town. This Thinkware dash cam is really nice! I like that it mounts behind the mirror so it doesn’t block the view. The picture is clear and syncs up with the app on your phone very nicely. It’s easy to install I’m very happy with this.

The camera is very good. The software is clunky. You have to have a hotspot to use some of the advanced features. I can’t understand why it can’t just use the phone’s data.

Their Apps are the worst pieces of software I have ever used. It is not intuitive and almost impossible to connect to the camera without the help of customer service every time. I don’t understand why any company would allow such poorly written software. Fire all your software engineers and let AI build user friendly Apps.
