The External Battery requires Hardwiring Cable (sold separately) installation. Hardwiring Cable is included in some dash cam bundles. Please check when purchasing.
If 12V Power Outlet charging is preferred, select the optional Input Cable (12V Charging Cable *sold separately).
Note: Please make sure to use the 12V Input cable on LOW setting to power the iVolt Mini. Using it on HIGH setting may cause damage.

When I ordered the battery it was at the regular price. 2 days later it was at 199.99. I was kind of disappointed. Oh well, battery is good still learning how to use it.

I’ve had this battery for about 4 months now and it, along with my fa200 dual cam setup, haven’t let me down. My morning commute is only 20 minutes but with the iVolt hooked up to the fuse box I get a minimum 8 hours of parking detection mode in a busy parking lot. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to increase vehicle security.

Great addition to my dash cam. I have to leave my truck in some sketchy places for work and love that it now records all day for me in the event that something happens. Installation is a super quick and easy as well in an F150, and everything needed to install is included. Only thing I am changing with it is industrial Velcro since the adhesive doesn’t hold in the heat here down south. Overall would recommend!

I ordered the Thinkware U1000 and the iVolt Battery. I found the installation of the front and rear cameras a straightforward process. The challenge came in trying to tap into my minivan’s power supply. Sadly the fuse connectors do not work in my Kia, and there is no accessory fuse to utilize with a minimum of 15A. Instead, we planned to use the cigarette lighter socket. Unfortunately, the charging cable for the cigarette lighter socket was not included in the box. I reached out to Thinkware support, and they were incredibly gracious and will be supplying me with the needed hardware to complete the installation.

Nice battery. Works well with dash cam. Battery takes over when vehicle is shut off. Make sure you have hardwire cable when ordering – needed for battery.

I ended up returning the external battery; I misunderstood the in installation requirements and my installer didn’t need it. But I cannot say enough good things about my Q800 pro and the excellent/responsive customer service provided by this company. It’s a rare find these days.

Be me, buy u3000 for parking mode, get this battery to pair with it. Installation instructions suck- Does not allude that you will need the hardwire kit set. Go buy a hardwire kit set on Amazon. Realize after, it does not have fuses thinkware wants. Return it. Buy thinkware hardwire kit. Get wires set up, go to hop in 2025 corolla and it uses Low Profile Mini fuses. This iVolt Mini externalbatt does not have a low-profile mini fuse tap. Go back to amazon to pick up low profile mini fuse tap set of 3 for $7 bucks. Annoying af. I mean in the end it all works but wow. Just toss the latest and greatest into your kits please for the love of god.

I hardwired the battery to my 2025 Genesis GV80 fuse box to power my Thinkware U3000 Dash Camera in the parking mode with no draw on the vehicle battery. It does exactly what I expected and gives me great satisfaction. Fast ship and easy installation at the user level. Kudos!
