I bought this as I wanted to have a dash camera in my car for peace of mind when out driving. I also love that this one can be set for motion detection to keep and eye on my car when it’s parked.

The video is very good quality and it was quick and easy to install and set up.

I am pleasantly surprised by this dash cam. It’s well built and produces high quality video. The package includes a substantially long cable (roughly 13ft or 155.5 inches), 3 cord clips, windshield mounting kit, a tool to help conceal the cord, SD card and the camera. Paperwork is minimal as it’s a 3 page pamphlet with separate QR codes for customer service, user guide and safety and warranty. Installation is fairly easy, the power cord can easily run from the camera to the power source if not hardwired (separate accessory). It connects easily to your phone easily and boasts many options for night recording. From the phone app, you are able to review recordings. Parking camera is available as long as power continues to be supplied to the camera. Overall and very sleek and small camera with huge bells and whistles! Would recommend to anyone in the market for a dash cam!

In many ways, this camera exceeded my expectations. I opted for panel mounting and, due to its practical design, it was quite easy to do. Just plug it into your car socket and record. It recorded every weekday run and weekend ride I took in crisp, colorful 1080p video quality. Reviewing movies properly organized by date and time is made simple by the mobile app, which is great for potential insurance claims or legal needs.
Although I haven’t used night vision, knowing it exists is reassuring. My satisfaction was increased by the long power cord, complete packaging and easy-to-use interface.
Its many capabilities, including parking mode, combined with its sleek, small form make it an invaluable safety addition. I am really impressed with this cam! I live in Florida and I swear NOBODY knows how to drive in this state! I’ve lived all over the world and I’ve never run into worse drivers which is reflected in the audio insurance rates. I was rear-ended while at a red stoplight and the guy who hit me told the insurance company that I was driving backwards…. not kidding! Abs what’s truly, freaky bad? The insurance company BELIEVED him and I had to go to court so I could prove it was him! Thank God for witnesses! But seriously?? Someone at the insurance questioned the validity of a rear-end crash-where regardless of mitigating circumstances the law states the person in the back is at fault! UNREAL! Like everyone decides, at some point in their driving career, to just up and decides to drive backwards at any given moment? Certainly an eye opening thought!! Clearly everyone needs a dash cam to protect themselves against just about everything!

So I snapped up this cam when I saw it and installed it immediately! It was easy to install, even for me and I’m not great with tech stuff. It comes with a very long cable so you can wire it into the car and keep all the cumbersome and unsightly wires out of the way.

The software is also quite good. It is intuitive and easy to use. It beeps to let you know when it’s recording so if you slam on your brakes or hit a bump too hard, and you hear a beep, you can know recording has started and rest assured that you always have a witness. There are a lot of options in the app and everything is marked in minute intervals you can find what you need easily. You can log in and watch if there is Anyone around your vehicle whenever you want to. If someone hits your car in the parking lot, it automatically begins to record so you can even catch someone who just put a dent in your door and decided to drive away.

There are additions you can purchase that upgrade the cameras possibilities, such as a rear-view Canberra and a GPS. I am just learning all it can do, but so far I am extremely thrilled with this dash cam and I HIGHLY and wholeheartedly recommend this product! It’s great!!

I’ve had a couple dashcams, they rarely work out very long. Always sub $100, and I’ve looked at the more expensive ones but reviews are all about the same as the cheaper ones, so how do you know? Some of it is what you need out of it, for me, I just want something to capture the morons in front of me on a daily basis to protect myself in case they actually hit me. This does it, and does it very well. It boots quickly, alerts you it’s recording and it just works. If I hit a big bump, it beeps that it fits an extra capture which would simulate a crash. You can change the sensitivity. You can connect to your phone and see a live view, or download videos from the camera. The interface works, no bugs, it just works. The software is where the cheaper ones always fail, this is top notch. You can add a gps module which will give you speed and other alerts, I will be adding that. There are other models that have multiple camera if you need that, overall I live this camera, it was very easy to mount, and was up and running in minutes. Highly recommend!

Small does what it’s intended to do very simple love the Bluetooth part of it and connect it right away takes a little time but it works great But need the external antenna which is no big deal hides behind the mirror don’t even see it price wise was great ????????

Dont have to unload the sim to get video right off my phone

I’m not going to take a star for any complaint because my issue isn’t really a major negative. I have been using this camera for a few months now and I have been pleased. It was easy to install and it offered a few upgrades for location and always on options. Most of the time I can just ignore it because I know it’s working…. there is my chief complaint. It is a little too sensitive. It give a small audible alert when it is triggered and mine is going off on the regular. Hit a small bump in the road, cross railroad tracks, turn onto a main road and accelerate just a little too hard…. all trigger an alert. If I turn on my windshield wipers it sets itoff. Its not loud or really intrusive but I do wish it were a little less sensative.

Cars with that age need this kind of stuff and it is like the fire extugisher at home– you rarely use them but you do need one.
I said this because I got into car accident recently and realized how important it is to have this.

As a device, I will review from the following 3 aspects– installation, design and user interface.
1. installation: Installation is really straightforward. You just need to put them together and plug it into your car. Because it is really small, it is light weight and can stick to your window really well. If you want, you can do the fancy one and hide the wires since it comes with long wire…. I did not do that since I think what I have is enough.
2. design: I like the size– small so won’t block your view. You forgot its existence sometimes. It is beautiful too.
3. user interface. I like the options it provides– bluetooth etc. also the menu is straightforward and easy to set up. Someone complains it is a bit sensitive- but that is what I prefer. Prefer to be safe than be annoyed. What makes it differnt with the previous ones I have is that– it can connect with my phone and download the video quickly.. I don’t need to plug the disc to computer and do all the time consuming ones.

some points:
there might be some glitches, just restart or update the software.
I do have videos that I can not download or play– hope that can be fixed in the future.
so 4.5 star.

Camera recorded 24 hours only for first 2 months then stoped and only recorded during the day for 7-8 hours

used 3m sticker to windshield. Plugged in to car. easy to set up to phone. Tried it on a trip and then checked out the sd card in a computer and events from 2 weeks of driving around were there and easy to figure out. Glad I got this cam.

Simple For First Time Web Cam

I purchased mine from the Thinkware site, not Amazon. But I looked at reviews, even here on Amazon. I found that installation to be simple. The Thinkware customer service was great in explaining and answering questions. The 1 star reviews are really misleading. Mine beeps when I hit a bump in the road. the sensor is set to detect accidents. Obvious, not accident. But the beeping is not that often, especially if your on good roads. If you’re driving dirt roads, maybe not for you! The app is actually pretty simple too. One review was incorrect in that you have to turn on the device “wifi” to actually view video, so it cannot get hijacked! And the wifi remains off automatically. But the device records automatically each time your car start. All I wanted was something simple to start. I had been putting this off for a few years. I learned from a friend about this one, and so I made the leap and got it. And so far I am happy with it!

Nice dash cam

Install is easy and can even be hardwired to always be on if you have a decent battery or a second battery like I have. This is a good entry level dash cam and produces decent quality videos for the price.
