Introducing Thinkware’s X1000 dash cam – Own the night with industry-leading front & rear 2K QHD cameras.
We’ve set a new bar in the dash cam industry by pairing Sony’s IMX335 5.14MP STARVIS image sensor with an all-new proprietary lens design to produce a remarkable image quality no matter the time of the day.
Coupled with Super Night Vision 3.0 technology, Energy Saving 2.0 in Parking Surveillance mode allows the X1000 to remain on the lookout for parking mishaps or hit-and-runs for up to 576 hours* even in dimly lit conditions such as dark parking lots. The bar has been set – Now it’s your turn to own the night
* Based on Thinkware’s BAB-50 4’500mAH External Battery
2K QHD Recording with Auto HDR
Capture flawless front and rear 2K QHD footage whether it’s night or day, thanks to the X1000’s 5.14MP Sony STARVIS IMX 335 image sensor enhanced with Ultra Night Vision & Auto HDR technology.
Oversampling Video Technology
The X1000 records at a native 2616 x 1964p resolution and scales it down to 2560 x 1440p for improved video sharpness, detail, and clarity during video playback.
Super Night Vision 3.0 with real DOL HDR
Record night drives with true colors and minimal noise thanks to Thinkware’s latest advancements in low-light recording technology that surpasses its predecessors’ night time performance.
The X1000 uses a combination of Digital Overlap High Dynamic Range (DOL HDR) and Noise Reduction technology to effectively reduce noise and lens flare effects that typically affect nighttime footage.
156-degree Front & Rear Viewing Angles
Boasting an innovative custom lens design, the X1000’s focus has been tuned digitally to minimize distortion without compromising the 156-degree wide angle view.
A blue filter often found in premium smartphones has been incorporated to allow even more light to be absorbed by the image sensor, resulting in cleaner and sharper images.
Front and Rear View Recording Reimagined
Dewarping technology allows the X1000’s front and rear cameras to deliver an impeccable image of the road with minimal distortion, while the lens optimization design takes into account the tint and angle of the windshield/rear window to further enhance the overall image quality.
PARKING SURVEILLANCE MODE
Requires Hardwiring Cable or OBD II Power Cable and installation for Parking Surveillance mode (professional installation recommended)
Parking Surveillance mode is automatically activated when you turn off the ignition, and captures footage when a motion or impact is detected so you have video evidence of mishaps like hit-and-runs while you’re away from your vehicle.
ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM*
Requires Optional GPS Antenna
FORWARD COLLISION WARNING
FRONT VEHICLE DEPARTURE WARNING
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM
Crystal Clear Viewing on the IPS panel
Conveniently adjust settings or review footage with the X1000’s 3.5” LCD touchscreen.
The touchscreen features an IPS panel that makes viewing easy from any viewing angle and at any time of the day.
Anti-File Corruption
Anti-File Corruption technology with Format Free 2.0 improves the reliability and extends the lifespan of your Thinkware memory card by minimizing the risk of loss footage due to bad blocks and data corruption, thus also eliminating the need to periodically format the card.
Fast Startup to Record Video Without Delay

Record quality is one of the best, if not the best. However, if you want a clear vision, add a CPL filter to ensure the sun’s glare doesn’t affect your video

I have had the X1000 for a couple of weeks and seems ok. Not impressed with tech support though. I installed rear camera as shown on page 18 in the online manual and the video for rear is upside down. Called support (case 50180) and asked her if rear camera was defective and she said to email picture of camera, two weeks later and no answer. I installed it upside down to get it to work. Also not happy with expensive memory upgrade that you have to get through Thinkware or it will not work. Picture included here in the position shown makes video upside down.

This dash camera is amazing. The video quality is the best I’ve seen in a dash camera. I also really love that the kit comes standard with the hardwire cable because I hate having a wire hanging down to plug into the +12v accessory outlet.
The only issue I have is because I have a large sound system in my car so every time the bass hits, the camera goes into incident record mode even at the lowest sensitivity setting. I still rated the camera five stars because that’s my fault, not Thinkware’s.

I’ve waisted literally hundreds on other dash cams that promise so much more because of really good marketing tactics but your product does more than empty promises it delivers quality and a reassuring feeling of money well spent. Thank you 🙏

After a great deal of researching, we are very glad we found this dash cam. Seems as though it will certainly meet our needs. Thinkware was very helpful to us in deciding upon the camera that would be best for us.
