I’ve been very happy with this camera. It does everything I need it to do for my work truck. The only complaint I have is basically a first world problem kind of complaint – it takes more steps than I’d like to pair it to my phone via Bluetooth, and the wi-fi hotspot option is pretty wonky and often disconnects from my phone or doesn’t start right. But those functions are secondary to what I need, which is a good, dependable camera system front and rear which this does very well.
With regards to the ADAS function, I will repeat what others have commented on, which is that it’s way too quiet to be of any use, especially in a van. I assume the volume levels could be adjusted in a firmware update, but other than that there is very little user control. It has to be loud if it’s going to be useful.
Aside from that, I have been very well treated as a customer. My first order went in with a mistake (ordered the F800 instead of the Q800) but the return was painless. I would definitely buy any other camera systems I’d need from Thinkware. Thank you!

As expected my refurbished unit looks and performs like it had never been out of the box before. While I am getting used to not having a live view monitor took a bit, it’s actually worth the trade off in terms of video quality. Not to mention the Phone App is easy to utilize. The hardest part of installation is finding the right power source to tie into if you don’t want to run a hundred foot of cable between your Cigarette Lighter (for the kids – the 12V Power Port) and the unit.
