Sleeker design. Good button placement. Horrible video quality for a QHD. Had it replaced for bad quality video. But new one also has same quality video. Cannot read license plates day or night, near or far.
It always start speaking for 15 seconds every time you start your car. It’s really annoying. Can turn it off. But then you won’t get audio when a incident occurs at parking mode. Very bad software design.

I bought this in November of 2020 and It’s been great since then. Nothing has gone wrong with the dashcam or the app. It was super easy to set up and connect to my phone for easier use. The mobile app is super easy to navigate and has lots of extra features I didn’t even know it had right when I bought it. I highly recommend this dashcam to anyone looking for a nice and reliable cam. I recently cracked my windshield from a rock that flew up from a car in front of me and all I had to do was contact Thinkware to get a new sticky pad to put on my new windshield. 10/10

After seeing so many videos of insurance fraud I knew I had to purchase a dash cam before an incident happened. Did a lot of research on all the popular brands and decided the Q800 Pro had the best features for the price. The 2K recording quality is essential for picking up license plates from a distance and the parking mode features are amazing as well. Installation was a breeze with the Thinkware $50 OBD2 adapter cable. HIGHLY recommend adding that to your cart when purchasing so you won’t need to run any cables from your battery to the cabin.
