PARKING SURVEILLANCE MODE

Parking Surveillance mode* is automatically activated when you turn off the ignition, and captures footage when a motion or impact is detected so you have video evidence of mishaps like hit-and-runs while you’re away from your vehicle.

*Requires Hardwiring Cable or OBD II Power Cable and installation for Parking Surveillance mode (professional installation recommended)

ENERGY SAVING MODE

In Energy Saving mode, the dash cam goes on standby when entering Parking Surveillance mode and wakes up to record events triggered by impacts only.

This allows the dash cam to conserve energy and increase up to 3 times the total duration of the dash cam’s Parking Surveillance mode.

TIME LAPSE

Time Lapse in Parking mode records footage at 2FPS, enabling the dash cam to record long periods of parking surveillance continuously without increasing power consumption.

SUPER NIGHT VISION ON PARKING MODE

(Parking Surveillance Mode* only)

Record properly calibrated and exposed images in low-light conditions with the Sony STARVIS CMOS sensor.

IMPACT DETECTION

Monitor any impact to the vehicle while it is parked to catch any hit-and-run driver in the act while you are away.

MOTION DETECTION

Monitor and capture any motion around the vehicle for potential vandalism attempts.

RADAR MODULE WITH THE U1000

Pair the Radar Module with the U1000 to extend its parking surveillance duration while reducing power consumption when set to Energy Saving Mode 2.0.

The Radar will detect motion and allow the dash cam to prepare to save an event clip. If an impact is detected, a 20 second video (10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the impact) is saved in a dedicated folder on the MicroSD card.

When no impacts are detected, the U1000 does not save the footage and resumes Energy Saving Mode 2.0.

HOW DOES THE RADAR MODULE WORK?

By using LiDar the RADAR Module will detect a sedan or larger sized object moving near your parked vehicle and will begin recording.

If no impact is detected then the video clip will be deleted. If an impact is detected, the video is saved with 10 seconds of footage before the impact and 10 seconds after (20-second clip).

HOW TO DISABLE/ENABLE THE RADAR MODULE

  1. Connect to the Dashcam via WiFi or Hotspot
  2. Select Dash Cam Settings-> Record Settings
  3. Scroll down to RADAR and select “Enabled” or “Disabled” depending on your preference.
  4. Click the back arrow in the top-left to finalize your changes.
